Crispy Pan Fried Tilapia (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Fish

01 - 4 tilapia fillets (about 1½ pounds)

→ For the Coating

02 - 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
05 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
06 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
07 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

→ For Cooking and Serving

08 - 2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil
09 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (optional)
10 - Fresh lemon wedges
11 - Fresh parsley, chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Pat those tilapia fillets really dry with paper towels. This helps get a nice crispy coating.
02 - Mix your flour with garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
03 - Dredge each piece of fish in the seasoned flour, making sure it's evenly coated. Shake off any extra.
04 - Heat up your oil (and butter if using) in a big skillet over medium heat. Add the fish and cook about 3-4 minutes per side until golden and flaky.
05 - Move the fish to plates, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve with those lemon wedges for squeezing.

# Notes:

01 - Use almond flour for a gluten-free version
02 - Add cayenne for some heat
03 - Cook in batches if needed - don't overcrowd the pan
