Meatball Sub Fast (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Fresh Meatball Mix

01 - 1 pound lean ground beef at 95% lean
02 - 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
03 - 1 egg from the fridge
04 - 1 or 2 fresh garlic cloves chopped up small
05 - 1 tbsp dried Italian herbs
06 - 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
07 - 1/2 tsp regular table salt

→ Putting It Together

08 - 24 tasty meatballs store bought or fresh
09 - 2 tbsp good olive oil
10 - 2 cups your favorite marinara
11 - 8 soft hot dog rolls
12 - 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella

# Instructions:

01 - Mix meatball ingredients and form 24 meatballs. Brown in oil in skillet, turning frequently
02 - Add marinara to meatballs, cover and cook on medium-low 15 minutes until 160°F internal temperature
03 - Place buns on baking sheet. Position oven rack 6 inches below broiler
04 - Add 3 meatballs per bun, top with sauce and cheese. Broil 2-3 minutes until cheese melts

01 - Frozen meatballs work great as a quick shortcut
02 - Keep an eye on it when broiling so nothing burns
