Baked Nashville Sandwich (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken

01 - 2 chicken breasts about 8 oz each cut in half lengthwise
02 - 3/4 cups regular flour
03 - 1 tbsp garlic powder split into two parts
04 - 1 tsp ground turmeric
05 - 1 tsp smoky paprika powder
06 - 1 tsp regular table salt
07 - 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
08 - 2 eggs from the fridge
09 - 1 cup crunchy panko crumbs

→ Hot Honey Butter

10 - 1/2 cup plain butter melted down
11 - 1/4 cup sweet honey
12 - 1 tbsp smoky paprika spice
13 - 1 tsp ground cayenne for heat
14 - 1/4 tsp regular salt

→ Assembly

15 - 4 burger rolls lightly toasted in the oven
16 - 2 cups fresh cut iceberg lettuce
17 - 1/2 cup creamy ranch dressing

# Instructions:

01 - Pat chicken dry and season with salt and pepper. Mix flour with half the spices in one dish, whisk eggs in another, and combine panko with remaining spices in a third.
02 - Dredge chicken in flour, then eggs, then panko mixture, pressing coating firmly. Place on greased rack over baking sheet and refrigerate 30 minutes.
03 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Spray chicken with cooking spray and bake 15-20 minutes until golden and cooked through.
04 - Whisk together melted butter, honey, smoked paprika, cayenne, and salt. Brush over baked chicken.
05 - Spread ranch on toasted buns, top with chicken and lettuce. Serve immediately.
