Crispy Oven Baked Fries (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Fries

01 - 3 large russet potatoes, cut into thin strips
02 - 3 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 3 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
04 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
05 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
06 - 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

→ For Topping

07 - 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
08 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven on to 425°F (220°C). Grab a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper - this will help prevent sticking and make cleanup way easier.
02 - Give your potato strips a good soak in cold water for about 30 minutes - this little trick helps get rid of extra starch and makes them super crispy later. After soaking, drain them and pat them really dry with paper towels. Like, really dry!
03 - Toss your dried potato strips in a bowl with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano. Get in there with your hands if you need to - you want every fry nicely coated with all those flavors.
04 - Spread your seasoned potatoes on the baking sheet, giving them plenty of space to crisp up - overcrowding is the enemy of crispiness! Pop them in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, but here's the important part: flip them halfway through so they get golden and crispy all over.
05 - Once they're golden and crispy, take them out and while they're still hot, sprinkle that Parmesan cheese all over. Give them a gentle toss to get the cheese evenly distributed. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley and serve them up while they're hot and crispy!

# Notes:

01 - For extra crispy fries, try baking them on a wire rack set on top of your baking sheet
02 - Feel free to spice things up with a pinch of paprika or chili powder if you're feeling adventurous
03 - The key to crispy fries is making sure they're super dry after soaking and not overcrowding the pan
